Janice I would recommend reading them as I did. When Huey wants to study animal tracks, Julian says he's too young. McNeill can keep the reader interested with the large scale fights, all the while telling a more subtle story of the two main characters, Captain Uriel Ventris and Sergeant Pasanius. This book had a lot of potential, and could have been a wonderful read. A good feel good summer story.
